This piece comes from North America and its value is exceptional because it is extremely rare. It is an Eskimo Kayak with a structure of wood fully covered with sealskin. The sealskin was literally wrapped around the wooden structure. The whole kayak was afterwards painted with oily substances in order to make it waterproof. On the top of the kayak there is a space for one person to sit in and drive the boat with the paddle. Three strips of leather are placed around the kayak to fix and hang fish instruments and paddles.
